GREEN OASIS JOURNAL No. 5

More gatherings of the SAPHRA residents working party took place between February and May.

Many more progresses are made by this core group of green power!

Some hazel, hawthorn and crab apple saplings are planted. They are very helpfully labelled.

The 'Pond' area has had a make-over - looking very clean and tidy now with some great looking ferns sitting on the edge of the pond.

The newly planted saplings are thriving around this west side corner.

May flowers sitting pretty.

The two tone white-green leaf plant with purple flowers is know as 'Spotted Dead Nettles', often used as very reliable ground cover - it's called 'Dead Nettle' because it does not sting, unlike other nettles!

The yellow flowers are common dandelions, their furry sphere seed heads are familiar to most people!
The 'Woodland' area is now covered by a canvas of greenery and flowers and is looking lovely at the end of May.
